A one day workshop of voice exploration, group singing, physical and vocal release held within a circle of women.
Meant to empower, free and release the individual voice in reflection and support of a circle of women. The first part of the day will focus on a vocal journey through the body, connecting parts of ourselves that we may have lost contact with. Asking our bodies, what does she have to say? I will offer somatic exercises in the realm of what I call “release work”, which are journeys designed to open, release and integrate the body and voice together in a process that can be deeply liberating. The second part of the day will be focused on singing; individually, in pairs and within the group. Through guided improvisation, everyone will have the opportunity to gives out one’s voice and receive the support of the group in a way that is grounding and empowering. We will finish with a guided integration.
We will reflect on the power of sisterhood and delicately work with the energies of lullabies, empowerment cries and lamentation. Gaining a glimpse into the unique power of the female voice. Together.
